DIRAC EXCHANGE PROGRAM

DIRAC Trainee Exchange Program has been develloped with the aim of allowing both internal and external parties, be it undergraduates, masters students, Ph.D. students or postdoctoral researchers, to get to know or enter into closer collaboration with any of the DIRAC partner institutions.
To achieve this the DIRAC exchange training program will fund exchanges.

WHO CAN APPLY

In essence, the DIRAC is open to any interested party, but the main focus is put on:
  1. researchers who are members of any of the DIRAC partners
  2. researchers who intend to visit any of the DIRAC partner institutions
  3. researchers who demonstrate close connections with any of DIRAC's goals

THE VISITS

Any of the nine DIRAC partners can host applicants for the DIRAC training program. Visits typically occupy between three and six months for undergraduates, masters and PhD students, and between one and three months for senior researchers.

The DIRAC Training program will provide funding for travel and living expenses, but no salary.
The funding is typically 1250 Euro/month.

THE INSURANCE

The applicant will not be insured for accidents or sickness by the hosting institute, but is requested to supply us with proof of insurance on their end.

HOW TO APPLY

The DIRAC training application form can be downloaded here as a word document or as a pdf for your convenience.
Written support from your home institution and host institution is required, in addition to an academic reference. Any further questions may be addressed to DIRAC's Training Program Manager: Dr. Paul Konijn.

WHEN TO APPLY

DIRAC Training applications can be submitted at any time but they will only be decided upon by DIRAC's Training Board on a quarterly basis with deadlines of 15th March, 15th June, 15th September and 15th December.
